2020 CalTestBed Symposium
More than $6 million in testing vouchers awarded to 26 clean energy entrepreneurs were announced at the inaugural California Test Bed (CalTestBed) virtual Symposium Dec. 2 and 3, 2020 hosted by New Energy Nexus and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator. The CalTestBed Initiative is a California Energy Commission (CEC)-funded effort to speed the commercialization of clean energy technologies. The program is led by New Energy Nexus in partnership with the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Launch and Reception
Our launch event featured distinguished speakers including California Energy Commission Chair David Hochschild, David Phillips, Associate Vice President for Energy and Sustainability at the University of California Office of the President, and a high profile stakeholder panel that discussed the value proposition of this initiative from each of their perspectives which was moderated by Danny Kennedy, CEO, New Energy Nexus. The program was followed by a networking reception with a broad group of approximately 200 participants including entrepreneurs, companies, state government officials, and academia.
